Laser Hair Removal

At Lifestyle Laser we use REAL DIODE LASERS, not an IPL Light. Laser hair removal is so successful because it stops hair growth at the root. During a laser session, our Astanza ReSmooth laser sends flashes of light energy over the desired treatment area, specifically targeting the melanin in the unwanted hair follicles without damaging any surrounding skin tissue. The absorption of light energy heats up the hair follicles and damages them, permanently cutting off the follicle’s nutrient source and stunting all future growth.

Our ReSmooth diode laser sends flashes of light onto the area with unwanted hair. The light energy targets the melanin found in hair follicles, damaging the follicle and stopping future hair growth. In order for laser hair removal to be successful, hairs must be treated during their anagen phase, when the follicle is still attached to its nutrient source.

On average, most patients will need a minimum of 6 to 12 treatments spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart in order to treat each hair during its anagen phase. Additional touch-up treatments may be required to target any stray hairs that were not targeted during the anagen phase.
